Leicester City manager, Craig Shakespeare has said winger Riyad Mahrez is committed to the club despite failing to force a move away from the former English Premier League champions.
After turning down a transfer request at the start of the transfer window, Mahrez was excused from international camp as he traveled to Europe in a bid to secure a deal elsewhere.
Arsenal and Barcelona were some of the clubs said to be interested in the player.
But his attempts failed and he still remains a player of Leicester City after the transfer window closed.

And after returning to training from the international break with Algeria, Shakespeare said Mahrez is in the right frame of mind and committed to the club.
"Mahrez said he wanted to play for a top-six club. But having spoken to him the last couple of days, I'm in no doubt about his professionalism and commitment to Leicester which he has shown since day one.”
“He's in a good frame of mind. Most importantly, his body language at training is good and this is really important for me and the rest of the players. He's been excellent.”
Mahrez may now feature for Leicester City against Chelsea on Saturday.
