Nollywood actor, Seun Ajayi always wanted to be a mechanic but that dream went up in flames after he saw his JAMB result.
So he took a U-turn and and stopped at the Theater Arts Department at the University Of Lagos.
He finally ‘graduated’ into Nollywood after becoming second runner up at the 2007 Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO) season three.
The actor, who triples as an event host and voice over artiste, has featured in both stage and motion pictures in Ojukokoro and SuruLere.
Presently he is the lead character of the hit series, ‘Hustle’ which shows on DSTV.
It tells the tale of Dayo - a gullible but optimistic young man who moves to Lagos in search of his ‘Grass to Grace’ story.
Here are 3 reasons Seun Ajayi’s role as Dayo in the series is a ‘match made in heaven’
1. He was bullied and pushed around in Boarding school
Seun Ajayi was a boarder at the Federal Government College in Odogbolu, Ogun State where he was bullied and pushed around.
He draws from these experiences to play the victim in the hilariously catastrophic ‘Hustle’ where he has to deal with an antagonistic landlady played by Sola Sobowale and a dishonest yet loyal roommate.
2. He confesses to have been naive and too trusting as a young adult
“I am a trusting person and I tend to be naive at times especially while I was at the University”. He says this helps him to make his scenes look real, while on the set of the ‘dramedy’.
3. He enjoys investing in people
Seun Ajayi, loves investing in people. He says he is always interested in seeing people’s progress. This is the same for the character in ‘Hustle’ who shows genuine interests in the lives of his neigbours, which most times, don’t lead to ‘happy endings’.
